Constable Dragged 10 Meters in Fatal Road Rage: Two Suspects Flee
A police constable lost his life in a road rage incident in the Nangloi area of Delhi. The incident occurred near Veena Enclave around 2:15 AM on the night of September 28-29 when the on-duty constable was riding his bike from the Nangloi police station towards Railway Road.
According to Delhi police, 30-year-old constable Sandeep was in civilian clothes. He noticed a speeding car driven carelessly by the driver. Constable Sandeep attempted to stop him and asked him to slow down.
Suddenly, the driver of the car accelerated and collided with the constable’s bike from behind. Following the impact, the constable was dragged along the road for about 10 meters before the car crashed into another vehicle. After the incident, the accused fled the scene.
The police have filed a murder case, and two individuals are on the run. Sandeep was immediately taken to Sonia Hospital and later transferred to Balaji Hospital in West Vihar. However, he had sustained head injuries that led to his death. The police have recovered both the car and the constable’s bike.
Delhi police reported that a case has been registered under Section 103 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and an investigation has begun. Two individuals are still at large. Sandeep is survived by his mother, wife, and a five-year-old son.
